In which year we can expect the vaccine available for HSV-2 for the healthy women not having the HSV-2 ? - hsv 2 vaccine 2010
As usual, Alli is right on the money.
It is to develop a vaccine or tested for VHS disease in women (unfortunately not working for men).
Vaccination is a glycoprotein D-adjuvant vaccine has been shown that against the acquisition of HSV disease among women who were seronegative protected (not exposed) was HSV-1 and HSV-2 but not for those already with HSV -1 infected. It has to have as effective in humans, regardless of whether / t, you still HSV-1 and HSV-2.
Protection against HSV disease was approximately 74% protection against infection was 46% (seroconversion and symptomatic disease).
This vaccine, if the safety data suggest that in the next ten years are available.
If the FDA approves the vaccine, called Herpevac should be available in 2008.
